The idea of Musical Desserts came to me from performing at private parties, in most cases, in the comfort of a private home. These relaxed and comfortable evenings have been very special to be apart of. The intimacy in these evenings is what I have strived to provide in the Musical Desserts concerts I have done while on a slightly bigger scale.
An in home Musical Desserts Concert is simply put, a concert in your home for you and your guests. I offer these evening as a private party where the host looks after the costs, or as a house concert.
House concerts can be great way to enjoy live acoustic music while sharing the company of friends and neighbours. For most of these events, each person attending makes a donation of approximately $20. You can learn more about house concerts at, www.johnlemme.com/houseconcerts.html
I like to suggest working with a theme. Sometimes we use themes similar to the Musical Desserts concerts I have done and sometimes something new and special to the hosts. The evenings that seem to be the most popular have a mix of both songs to listen to and music to sing along with.
